Fan to my netbook making horrible grating noise?

The fan for my Toshiba netbook makes this loud, annoying noise when my computer has been turned on for a while, like a car struggling to start. Should I replace it, or is a screw loose? I'm debating whether or not I should try to just replace the fan myself.
